IAQCA ACCREDITATION · FAIRNESS AND REVIEW

Complaints and appeals

IAQCA provides separate routes for concerns about the service and challenges to an accreditation decision. The public page explains the route; the case file remains controlled by the Secretariat.

COMPLAINT

Concern about the service

A complaint may concern communication, conduct, confidentiality, delay, published information or the way an activity was managed.

Review principles

Accessibility

A complaint or appeal may concern a published service, an evaluation activity, a decision or a registry record.

Independence

The person reviewing a complaint or appeal must be free from the decision, evaluation or relationship being challenged.

Traceability

Each case receives a reference, an acknowledgement, a responsible reviewer, a decision and a closure record.

Confidentiality

Information is shared only with persons who need it to review and decide the case.

Important limitation

Submitting a complaint or appeal does not automatically suspend an accreditation decision. Any change of status is made through the applicable decision process and is published in the official register when authorized.
